T&MUFC Announce New
1st Team Head Coach

We are delighted to announce that Ex Terror Mark Hams will be joining the club as our new 1st Team Head Coach.

Mark will be joining our new management team of Jamie Byatt & John (JOC) O'Connor with immediate effect and brings with him a wealth of playing, coaching & managerial experience.

Mark has been involved in football for over thirty years, and began coaching in 1998. He earned his UEFA A Licence in 2009, and after a playing career in non-league football, has coached at all levels. He led the academy programme at Kingstonian for five years. His other former clubs include Molesey, Kingstonian, Chertsey Town, Leatherhead, Walton Casuals and Walton & Hersham, where he also became manager.

Mark added:

I’m delighted to be given the opportunity to work at a club that’s very close to my heart and with a management team that shares the same ambitions. Tooting is my original home town and place of birth and I still have strong family and friends' connections there.

Jamie is quite rightly a household name in the area and someone I’ve worked with before, the fire in his belly is something I’ve always admired.

I’m very grateful to be working alongside him.

It’s great to be home!

Everyone at T&MUFC wish Mark, Jamie & JOC all the very best for the coming season.

Come on you stripes!!!!

New 1st Team Assistant Manager joins the Terrors

The club is delighted to announce that John O'Connor will become Assistant 1st Team Manager to Jamie Byatt, with immediate effect.

John has had a distinguished career, including managing our dear friends at Tooting Bec for 5 years, during which he secured their promotion to the Combined Counties League.

JOC adds, "I am privileged, honoured and excited to become part of this hugely historical club. I will give Tooting and Mitcham United Football Club, Jamie, the fans and everyone else involved with this great club my full passion and heart from the off.

If you play football with passion, bravery and excitement then great things happen. That ingredient creates the 12th man, the fans.

Thank you Jamie and T&MU for giving me this opportunity."

Everyone at the club welcomes JOC to the team and wishes him & Jamie the best for the season ahead.

T&MUFC CLUB STATEMENT

The Club would like to express its thanks to Ashley Bosah and his team for his work during what can only be described as some of the most challenging seasons this club has ever had. The 2 Null and Void seasons and fall out from COVID for both players and coaches took its toll in a way no one could have predicted.

We are delighted that he remains very much part of the Club and continues to progress the young players with his unique and well established pathways envied by other clubs.

Next season will be difficult as we find ourselves in a position this Club has never been in before. Therefore we need to look to someone who has the love and passion for the club and determination to ensure the 1st team goes from strength to strength. We're sure all will join us in welcoming Jamie Byatt back to Imperial Fields as our new manager of the 1st team.

Jamie’s association with the club is well known in non-league and we look forward to working with him and his team.

We will be announcing new changes to the leagues shortly and am sure you will support Jamie in his ambition to see the club rise through the leagues.

Jamie adds:

"I'm excited to have been given this opportunity to become 1st Team Manager of Tooting & Mitcham United FC and I'm looking forward to getting started again at this fantastic club.

Our priority is to get the Club pushing forward and I will try my very best to help this club to get to its very best. I'm looking forward to being back at my local club."

Further details of Jamie's backroom team and his first Fans Forum, where you will get the opportunity to meet Jamie and his team will be announced in due course.

Club Statement by 1st Team Manager Ashley Bosah

Today, after 5 seasons, I'll be standing down from my duties as first-team manager at Tooting & Mitcham United FC.

My time working within the first team environment has been one of pride. Thanks to the players, past and present for all their time and efforts. A huge thanks to Steve Adkins for the opportunity, Tony Cox, Jackie Watkins, the board and the volunteers. A huge heartfelt thanks to the Fans who have endured a very tough season.

A special mention to my colleagues past and present from Cornelius Nwadialor, Myles Warren, Andy Hunt and also to the support staff, Dan Yankah, Francesca Tataro and Bobby Aspinall, thank you all.

As I recently got married my family commitments have to take priority at this time and I feel as though this has played a major part in this decision.

I will continue to work at the Club as Technical Director advancing our football plan, ensuring the development and progression of staff and players, also in my role as a Director of T&M Community Sports Club.

I remain very passionate about the future of the club.

The new manager will have my utmost support in their endeavours to get this club back to winning ways.

Regards

Ashley Bosah
